Specs

The Granite Voltage 2WD is a ready-to-run 1/10 two-wheel-drive monster truck from Arrma, with a MEGA 20T 540 brushed motor and a MEGA SRS ESC and receiver.

A 16T pinion on a 93T spur, through a 2.6:1 internal ratio, gives a 15.11:1 final drive on 130 mm tires, and Arrma quotes 20+ mph. The truck weighs 1.93 kg, is 418 mm long and runs 12 mm wheel hexes. The speed control takes up to a 2S pack, and the Tamiya plug suits the NiMH pack in the box. Pinions are 48P, so a different size is an easy change.

How to read these figures
  • Stock is as the vehicle ships.
  • Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
  • Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit, or does not have one, like a KV rating on a brushed motor.

About teeth, pitch and bore
  • Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above.
  • Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close.
  • Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.

How these numbers were settled

Horizon's page prints Pinion 16T, Spur Gear 93T, Gear Pitch 48-Pitch, Internal Gear Ratio 2.6:1 and Final Drive Ratio 15.11:1, and 93 / 16 x 2.6 = 15.11.

  • The tire is the dBoots Copperhead, with an Outer Diameter of 5.12 in (130mm) in the same table.
  • The manual's battery table (p. 18) lists a 2S stick LiPo as the largest LiPo pack, so 2 cells is the limit; the motor is a brushed MEGA 20T 540, so there is no Kv figure.
  • Horizon prints Top Speed 20+ for this truck, recorded here as 20 mph; no speed check is possible without a motor Kv.
  • Arrma announced the Granite Voltage as the Granite Mega SRS in October 2017.
  • The gear part numbers are not named for this SKU, so only the 48-pitch is recorded.
