Background
The WLtoys 144018 is a ready-to-run 1/14 four-wheel-drive monster truck with a 390 brushed motor. Its published 35 km/h claim makes it a distinct configuration from the larger-motor 144001 and brushless 144010. Model information (opens in a new tab).

The package includes a 7.4V 1500mAh battery and uses independent suspension. Check the exact vehicle number when replacing arms, mounts and electronics. The shared first digits in a WLtoys model number are not enough to establish common chassis or transmission parts. Model information (opens in a new tab).

Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Use the 144018 drawing to preserve the front hub's small cross pin, bearings and stepped pivot screws during a wheel or driveshaft repair. Check that the joint turns freely through steering and suspension travel before refitting the body. A tight joint deserves inspection before increasing steering throw.[1] 144018 factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
The illustrated 17g three-wire servo works through separate horn and steering-link pieces. Match those pieces to the fitted servo spline and center the servo before attaching the horn. Keep the shorter and longer damper assemblies in their original positions while checking clearance around the revised wheels or body.[1] 144018 factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
