Background
The Cragsman Pro is a 1/8-scale trail vehicle in Traction Hobby's range.1 Its equipment includes a 775 brushed motor; steel frame; selectable front, rear and four-wheel drive; front/rear differential-lock controls; a two-speed transmission.1 The drivetrain controls let you change the vehicle's gearing and traction configuration as the terrain changes.1 Check the exact edition and its transmission drawing when ordering service parts, because the family name covers several hardware packages.1

How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Maker parts list is a dimension printed for a part on this exact model's maker parts list. It does not establish the assembled pivot-to-pivot length or fit on another variant.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Plan a Cragsman Pro radio change around the two-speed gearbox, transfer-case shift and separate front and rear axle locks. The factory guide assigns those mechanisms individual controls and shows the engaged positions. Use a three-position switch for the transfer case, then set each shift servo's endpoints against the pictured linkage so it reaches the mechanism without pushing continuously against the stop.[1] Cragsman Pro factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
Use low gear for ordinary Cragsman Pro trail work and reserve high gear for suitable open sections. The manual warns that extended high-gear running can overheat the motor or controller. Compare motor temperature on the same route after a gearing or tire change, and inspect cooling and drivetrain movement if heat rises.[1] Cragsman Pro factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)

Keep the differentials open when their easier steering is useful, then select the lock needed for wheel slip or an obstacle. Release throttle before engaging a lock if the wheels are spinning at substantially different speeds. After a servo change, check the actual lock and release action as well as the radio indication.[1] Cragsman Pro factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
