Background
The Cragsman is a 1/8-scale trail vehicle in Traction Hobby's range.1 Its equipment includes independent front/rear differential-lock controls; selectable two- or four-wheel drive; a two-speed transmission; steel chassis rails and a scale body.1 The drivetrain controls let you change the vehicle's gearing and traction configuration as the terrain changes.1 Check the exact edition and its transmission drawing when ordering service parts, because the family name covers several hardware packages.1

- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Keep the original Cragsman's five servo functions identified when servicing the radio installation. The factory layout separates steering, transmission shifting, 2WD/4WD selection and the front and rear differential locks. Label those connections before removal, then verify each function with the vehicle supported after reassembly.[1] Cragsman factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
Preserve the front and rear suspension links in their illustrated positions. The manual gives different upper and lower link arrangements and calls out the direction of the rod ends. Record their positions before changing ride height or geometry, then check axle movement and driveshaft freedom through suspension travel.[1] Cragsman factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)

Lay out the damper seals, piston hardware and spacers in the factory order during a rebuild. The original guide supplies a shock-oil reference and assembly length, while its gear drawing uses paper to establish mesh. Restore that baseline first and check free rotation before comparing a gearing or damping change.[1] Cragsman factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
