Tamiya's GF-01 is a 1/12 four-wheel-drive, gear-driven chassis with big tires and a sealed gearbox, sold as kits under trucks such as the Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Pick-Up and the Heavy Dump.

Tamiya prints 18.03:1 for every kit on it, which run the stock 18T pinion, and does not publish the spur or the gear train behind it, so the pinion and that total are the only gearing figures. Drive All four wheels are driven. That gives more grip under power, especially on loose ground. The cost is more parts to maintain. Build A kit you build yourself from parts. Pinion The small gear on the motor shaft. Fewer teeth gear the car shorter: quicker acceleration, lower top speed and a cooler motor. More teeth do the opposite. On a chassis sold as kits, each kit brings its own. Spur The large gear the pinion drives. A bigger spur with the same pinion gears the car shorter. Pinion and spur must have the same pitch, or tooth size, to mesh. Transmission & axle Every reduction after the spur, multiplied together: transmission, differentials and axle gears. It is fixed by the design; the gearing you change is the pinion and spur. Final drive How many times the motor turns for one turn of the wheels. A higher number is shorter gearing: more acceleration and pulling power, less top speed.

Tire diameter The outside diameter of the mounted tire, tread to tread. A taller tire covers more ground each turn, which gears the car taller. At high speed tires can balloon and grow, so the real gearing gets taller as the car goes faster.

How these numbers were settled

The GF-01 is Tamiya's gear-driven 4WD big-tire chassis with a sealed gearbox moulded into the monocoque frame.

Tamiya publishes neither the spur tooth count nor the ratio of the gear train after it: the GF-01 chassis manual (gf01.pdf) shows the 18T pinion (MA8, step 8, p. 6) and counter gears with no tooth counts, and its only options note names the SP.356 20T/21T pinion set with no ratio for it.
So the printed total is the only gearing fact: every GF-01 kit page prints 'ギヤレシオ=18.03:1' (Toyota Land Cruiser 40 Pick-Up 58589, Red Body 47305, Metal Dump Truck 47329, Heavy Dump 58622), which is the kit's 18T pinion.
The same pages print a 174mm wheelbase.
Kits are those Tamiya Japan's GF-01 list and status file (std.csv) mark standard (58589) or planned runs (47305, 47329), plus the Heavy Dump (Tamiya sells the two dump trucks as 1/24, the Land Cruisers as 1/12), a spot re-run first sold in 2015; the XB built-up versions (57880, 57890) are left off.
