Serpent's Spyder SRX2 Gen3 Team is a two-wheel-drive 1/10 buggy kit for racing, built by you and sold without motor, electronics, pinion or tyres.

The 3-gear transmission reduces 2.43:1 after the 78T spur, so the pinion you fit sets the overall ratio. Serpent sells a range of optional spurs for the car, which leaves room to keep the pinion sensible as motors change. Pick the pinion for your motor and track first, then fine tune with the spur.

About teeth, pitch and bore

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above.
Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close.
Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft.

How these numbers were settled

Serpent's reference guide for 500016 lists as kit parts the 78T spur (500216), a 21T top shaft (500701), a 39T idler (500730) and the 51T gear diff set (500790).
The idler does not change the ratio, so 51/21 = 2.4286 after the spur is worked out from the tooth counts, not printed.
The manual states the pinion is not included, and that rims are included but rubber tyres are not, so the tyre size is left blank; the diff and shock oil values are on the default setup sheet.
