Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
Redcat's manual for the Lightning EP Drift is a single parts sheet shared with the EPX Pro.
- Its gear table gives the brushed version's standard gearing as '#03004-58T #03005-26T 1:6.52', a 58T diff main gear on a 26T motor gear, and the specification table repeats 1:6.52 for the drift car.
- The diffs use an 02029 38T crown gear and an 02030 drive pinion that Redcat's parts page lists as 13T for the Lightning EP Drift, so 38/13 = 2.92 after the spur and 58/26 x 2.92 = 6.52, matching the printed figure.
- The tire diameter is left blank: the same table gives the drift car's 'Diameter of Wheel' as 85mm against 65mm for the on-road car, which is not believable for 1/10 drift tires.
- Redcat's HW-WP-1040-Brushed speed control lists the Lightning EP Drift and is rated to 3S LiPo.
- The motor is a 19T 550 brushed can, so no KV.
