How these numbers were settled
Full-time 4WD crawler chassis kit sold without a motor, speed control, wheels or tires, so the builder supplies those.
- HPI states an overall drivetrain ratio of 7.6 to 1 from a 1.53 to 1 transmission, a 3.31 to 1 axle ratio and a 1.5 to 1 transfer case, giving a 30.4 to 1 final drive out of the box with pinion gears from 15 to 28 teeth.
- An optional 56-tooth spur with 19 to 32 tooth pinions gives 22.4 to 13.3 to 1.
- The exact stock pinion and spur tooth counts behind the 30.4 figure are not stated, so they are left blank.
