How these numbers were settled

HPI prints the whole chain: 'Drivetrain ratio: 7.6:1, Transmission gearing: 1.53:1, Axle gearing: 3.31:1, Transfer case gearing: 1.5:1' (1.53 x 1.5 x 3.31 = 7.60), plus 'a final drive ratio of 30.4:1 out of the box'.

• So 7.6 is the ratio after the spur and 30.4 the total.
• HPI does not name the stock pinion, but states 'With pinion gears of 15-28 teeth, you can get final drive ratios of 30.4:1 to 16.2:1', which puts 30.4 at the 15T end; the spur then follows uniquely: 30.4 = (spur / 15) x 7.6 gives 60.
• That 60T is confirmed three more ways against HPI's numbers: 28T gives (60/28) x 7.6 = 16.3 against the stated 16.2, and with the optional 56T spur, 19T gives 22.4 and 32T gives 13.3, exactly the pair HPI prints.
• The tire diameter is HPI's own part name, '#116839 ROCKTHORN TIRE 109X38X48MM (1.9in/2PCS)', and the kit page repeats 'Rockthorn 109mm x 38mm'.
• Brushed 35-turn 540, so KV and cell count are left blank and no speed check is possible.
