How these numbers were settled

Pre-built full-time 4WD touring car chassis with heavy-duty gear differentials, sold without a motor, speed control, pinion gear, wheels or tires. HPI's own standard-parts listing for this kit names a 66-tooth spur gear and a 40-tooth to 13-tooth differential bevel pair, giving a 3.077 to 1 reduction after the spur.
