Background
nano-TTR 1969 Ford Mustang RTR-X is part of HPI's nano-TTR range of small licensed replicas. Its 1/64-scale layout uses rear-wheel drive and proportional steering, giving the model a compact road-car format rather than a display-only body. The removable hard shell carries working lights, including indicators and reverse lights. HPI nano-TTR details (opens in a new tab).

The included MTX-400 transmitter controls the car and its lighting functions. A small rechargeable LiPo pack powers the model, with a USB-C cable supplied for charging. Replacement body pieces remain model-specific even where the chassis and radio architecture are shared across the range. Factory equipment (opens in a new tab).

Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
If the nano-TTR wanders or slows down, clean the tires and small drive shafts before changing the motor or steering parts. The factory guide warns that trapped debris adds load and can cause overheating. Center the steering trim, check throttle neutral and let the car cool between runs. If reverse seems unresponsive while moving forward, the first reverse input is braking; return the trigger to neutral before requesting reverse again.[1] nano-TTR 1969 Ford Mustang RTR-X factory setup and maintenance instructions (opens in a new tab)
