Maker-listed rear steering axle replacement. Its 5.25:1 gearing changes the original 5.775:1 rear ratio; this reference does not specify a new electronics package.
Installation notes
- VPS10568 rear steering, VPS10567 front steering and VPS10569 non-steering rear are different products. Select the rear steering version for the existing four-wheel-steer layout.
- The replacement assembly includes 30/8 ring-and-pinion and 20/28 portal gears: (30/8) x (28/20) = 5.25:1. The factory manual identifies 33/8 rear gearing, giving 5.775:1, rounded to 5.78.
- Replacing the complete rear assembly with 5.25 gearing speeds up the rear by 10 percent relative to its original 5.775 ratio, removing the original gearing bias if the rest of the drivetrain stays unchanged.
- Retain a suitable existing rear steering servo, horn and links, and follow the URB axle assembly instructions. The supplied kit does not include steering electronics.
- For a like-for-like repair, transfer the original undamaged 33/8 rear ring-and-pinion or fit its exact replacement VPS08331. Do not describe the off-the-shelf 5.25 assembly as identical stock gearing.
