Installation notes

  • Use the complete 5830 conversion package. Transfer the front/rear assemblies, motor, receiver installation and compatible electronics.
  • Reuse existing fasteners except where the kit instructions identify supplied replacements. Select the servo mounting height for the fitted servo-saver layout, shorten the servo link as shown and check steering direction.
  • The original instruction shows XL-5 and VXL-3s mounting screw lengths. On a BL-2s-equipped vehicle, check the actual mounting hardware and wire clearance rather than copying the VXL screw length.
  • Check existing body mounts and modifications before assembly. The lower layout reduces available central ground clearance.
