Background
The B3 developed Associated’s molded-chassis buggy line around equal-length front and rear suspension arms, revised front steering geometry and adjustable battery placement. Its 2.40:1 Stealth transmission retained the rear-motor layout. The 9032 Team configuration in the manual includes ball bearings, MIP CVD rear axles and PTFE-coated dampers. Period B3 listings require an edition check. Associated’s timeline names an earlier 9033 Team package, while the later manual and parts material identify 9032. Basic+, Sport and Factory Team packages also differ in electronics, bearings and chassis material. For a restoration, use the manual matching the car’s equipment and retain the distinction between optional parts and the parts actually supplied. How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Derived from replacement part uses the listed dimensions of a replacement advertised for the identified OEM part. Treat it as an approximate working size; the factory-fitted part may differ. Calculated performance uses that approximation.
- Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Match the 9032 Team configuration when rebuilding the rear drivetrain. Its CVD axles, bearings and dampers differ from the Sport and Basic equipment branches. Check the differential action and slipper setting before selecting gearing for a new motor. The original setup uses an 81T, 48P spur and a separately chosen pinion; use the motor-dependent gearing advice as a starting point and check temperature after changes.[1] RC10B3 Team Kit factory assembly material (opens in a new tab)
