Background
The Porsche 934 50th Anniversary marks fifty years since Tamiya's first RC car in 1976. This 2026 model is a new 1/10-scale design rather than a reproduction of the original 1/12 chassis. It returns to the green Vaillant-liveried racing Porsche, with a polycarbonate body, separate light cases and a driver cockpit. Model details (opens in a new tab).

Its rear-mounted motor sits lengthways, echoing the full-size car's rear-engine arrangement. Front double wishbones and rear trailing arms are paired with TRF dampers and anti-roll bars. A sealed four-pinion gear differential, universal shafts and a reinforced lower deck give the car a more elaborate mechanical specification than a simple body edition. The Porsche uses a 230 mm wheelbase; the chassis can also be assembled at 251 mm. Model details (opens in a new tab).
The kit includes a display mounting system that avoids visible body holes, two marking sets and a numbered stainless-steel plate. The motor, electronics and battery are separate purchases. For a runner, start with the manual's motor and gearing chart; the anniversary presentation does not make the original 1976 running gear an appropriate parts reference. How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Not applicable means the vehicle does not come with it, like the motor on a roller or the tires on a race kit.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
