Installation notes
- Use one MRCMBBTMR pack and the specific MB-01MR Ver. 1.01 instructions. This path requires the MB-01 base chassis assembled in its factory MR rear-drive configuration; it does not claim conversion of factory FF directly without rearrangement.
- Retain the chassis, rear gearbox, wheel hubs/pins, usable shocks, original arm fasteners, four B7 adjusters for the two short tie rods and B9 adjusters for the long servo linkage. Supplied BT-length adjuster/rod settings are not the MB settings.
- MB MR uses 1 mm gaps at the upper/lower arm adjusters and the center hole of the wiper extension adapter. The manufacturer recommends optional 2.7 mm drilling/5 mm trimming for the extension connection; the sheet permits driving without this drilling.
- Trim the bumper for shock clearance, relocate the D5 front body-post base onto the supplied long spacers and reuse the specified stock screws. The long steering rod is 115 mm for 210 mm wheelbase, 128 mm for 225 mm, or 140 mm for 239 mm.
- The current instructions specify a front hub-plus-wheel-offset baseline of 14 mm, normally 6 mm stock hubs and 8 mm-offset front wheels, with 0 mm rear offset. Body interference can require cutting. Suitable adjustable shocks and a longer compatible horn are recommendations; stock components have reduced adjustment/travel.
- Use a separate drift gyro, a compatible servo/radio/ESC/motor system, and drift wheels/tires suited to the surface. These electronics and tires are not supplied by the conversion pack. Match any replacement servo horn to the servo spline.
- Adjust gyro gain to avoid steering oscillation, set servo end points after assembly, and check tires, body and linkage through the full suspension and steering range. Maker setup dimensions are starting points for its P-tile surface, not guaranteed settings for every surface.
