Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.
How these numbers were settled
Gas powered by a 36cc Rovan two-stroke through an 8000 rpm clutch, so motor KV and cell count do not apply.
- The LT manual Rovan RC publishes states that stock gearing for the LT is 19/58, with 18T and 20T pinions available as options.
- Rovan RC also sells the 19T steel pinion as the stock replacement for the LT and SLT, and its replacement centre diffs for the LT, XLT and SLT carry a 58T spur.
- No front, centre or rear diff tooth counts are published, so the ratio after the spur and the final drive are left blank.
- The 170mm tire figure is from Rovan RC, the US distributor, which lists the stock wheel set as 170x80mm.
