This replaces the working gears inside one differential with Redcat's hardened set. It is an internal rebuild for a worn or damaged differential, rather than a complete assembled axle replacement. Inspect the bearings, case and mesh while the differential is apart.

Redcat offers BS803-027 for this Blackout edition as a component option. One set rebuilds one differential; bearings, case and matched input gearing need checking separately.

Installation notes

  • Redcat identifies BS803-027 as Differential Gear Set w/ Spider Gears(Hardened)(1set).
  • The current OEM application list names Blackout SC, SC Pro, XTE and XTE Pro. XBE variants are not extended by this record.
  • One set is for one differential; use two sets if rebuilding both front and rear. Existing bearings, case and fasteners must be serviceable.
  • Keep this gear set distinct from the later BS803-083 V2 complete differential, whose matched input-pinion requirements need a separate check.
  • Check the matching input gear and mesh against the factory instructions. This component listing does not establish unchanged stock final-drive gearing.
