How these numbers were settled
Belt-drive 4WD counter-steer: front one-way, rear spool.
- MST prints 'GEAR RATIO : 2.0 (36T/18T)' and 'CS RATIO : 1.54 (40T/13T)' on the same block, which reads as a contradiction because 40/13 is 3.08, not 1.54.
- It is not one: 40T/13T is the front drive ratio and 36T/18T the rear, and 3.0769 over 2.0 is 1.5385, which is the stated 1.54.
- The manual's own chart is (spur / pinion) x 2.0 throughout, confirming the rear figure. 88T 48P spur included, pinion not.
- MST sells a CS pulley set covering 1.54, 1.66 and 1.82, and the setup sheet has a tickable scale of 1.0 through 2.0, so the kit figure is one point on a range.
