This carbon-plate friction damper adds an adjustable way to control the rear motor pod. Kyosho includes three spring stiffnesses and permits the standard pitching damper to remain. It is an optional suspension tuning component; it does not require the separately sold oil shock or aluminum mount.

MZW709 is a listed MR-04 EVO2/MM tuning option. The stock pitching damper may remain; check the chosen body and wiring through rear suspension travel.

Installation notes

  • Scope is the accepted32893 wide-front MM EVO2 chassis. Do not extend this to RM, LM or MM2 layouts.
  • One MZW709 set includes carbon friction plates and three spring stiffness choices. The current full sold-pack screw inventory is not documented here.
  • Retain the standard pitching damper if desired. MZW432B oil shock and MZW708 aluminum oil-shock mount are optional alternatives, not cumulative requirements.
  • Follow the included kit instructions and check full pod movement, wiring and the chosen body clearance. No dimensional clearance or independently measured handling benefit was verified.
  • Keep the sensored motor, radio board and their existing voltage limits. This suspension option does not authorize a battery-voltage or power-system change.
