FMS 1:7 Ford Bronco RTR EB Brushless 4WD RS

Stock is as the vehicle ships. Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart. Derived is worked out from gear tooth counts the maker publishes rather than printed as a ratio; the notes below say how. Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it. The top speed is kinematic: an ideal no-load RPM with no slip and no loss under load, so a real car is slower. The maker advertises 50 mph, which is their own claim on their own conditions.

Gearing parts

Tooth counts are the ones in the specifications above. Pitch is given as metric module (Mod 1, Mod 0.8) or diametral pitch (32P, 48P). They are different standards and are not interchangeable, even where the numbers look close. Bore is the pinion’s hole, listed separately from the motor shaft. Linked part numbers go to the maker's or official distributor's page for that part.

How these numbers were settled

FMS's manual prints a 12T pinion on a 63T spur, both M1, and FMS sells them as parts APSC71096 and APSC71028.

• The ratio after the spur, 2.538, is worked out from the manual's parts list: a 13T steel pinion driving a 33T ring gear in each differential.
• That gives 13.33:1 overall, which matches the 1:13.34 FMS prints for a 12T pinion on the ROCHOBBY Ridge Racer U4, built on the same pinion, spur and differential parts.
• The tire is 146 x 55mm on both the product page and the manual.
• The motor is a Hobbywing 4274 at 1600KV, and the WP-8BL-150RTR ESC is rated for 3-6S LiPo in its own specification table; the page recommends 3-6S and the manual 4-6S.
• The 50 mph figure is FMS's claim on a 6S pack, about 97% of the theoretical speed at full charge with the stock gearing.
• This is the RS version, sold with radio, motor and ESC but without battery or charger, in Racing Livery A and Racing Livery B.
