This replaces the stock steering servo and horn with a matched aftermarket pair while keeping the original servo mount and radio. It is an option when renewing the steering servo without also changing the mounting system, provided the power supply suits the new servo.

Installation notes

  • INJS480A-BK supplies the INJS480 servo with a matched black 15T / 3.9mm horn. Use that horn and retain the stock SCX24 servo mount.
  • The separately selectable aluminum mount is not included with the servo-and-horn choice. Check steering-link attachment and clearance before setting endpoints.
  • The servo is rated 4.8-6V. Retain a compatible regulated supply and do not select a 7.4V BEC output. Check steering load when using a low-current receiver supply.
  • This package specifies the matched horn. It does not promise a spring-loaded servo saver.
