Corally Syncro-4 V1 vs V2
The Syncro-4 V2 keeps the original buggy's motor and speed controller, then puts its changes into grip, gearing, chassis support and everyday ownership. This comparison covers the original C-00287 and the 2026 C-00295 RTR. The useful question is whether those changes justify the newer car's price, or whether your existing Syncro already does the job.

How the stock setups compare
Both versions use the 2150KV Kuron 725 motor, Torox 135 ESC and 46T spur. V2 replaces the fitted 13T pinion with a 15T, bringing the final drive from 11.71:1 to 10.15:1. At equal motor RPM and tire diameter, that means about 15% more theoretical wheel speed. Softer tires, revised front CVDs and additional center bracing account for much of the rest of the update. More grip is the change you should feel first
The V2's softer 40 Shore Scorpion XTB compound is aimed at getting more bite from the familiar buggy layout. On loose dirt, that should help the tires find traction as you accelerate and turn. The longer gearing gives it more wheel speed to work with, so the update combines extra speed potential with a tire change intended to make it usable. The actual balance still depends on the surface, battery and setup.
The underlying suspension format remains familiar: pivot-ball front suspension, independent rear suspension, composite towers and threaded composite shocks. There is no reason to expect an entirely different kind of buggy from those retained features. The softer compound and revised bracing can change its responses, but a matched V1/V2 driving test would be needed to judge cornering balance, lap times or tire life.

More speed from gearing, with the same power system
The bigger pinion is the clearest speed change. The same 2150KV motor and Torox 135 controller remain, so V2's higher gearing should be understood as a different use of the existing power system. With the spur and internal reduction held constant, changing from 13T to 15T increases wheel RPM by about 15%. It also reduces torque multiplication at the wheels, making temperature checks worthwhile on grass or during repeated acceleration.
The manuals put the advertised speed into useful context. Their chart lists theoretical 4S speeds of 64 km/h (40 mph) with 13T, 73 km/h (45 mph) with 15T and 83 km/h (52 mph) with the optional 17T, using a 115 mm tire assumption. Those are chart estimates, not GPS results. In that chart, reaching 80+ km/h calls for the taller optional gearing. The headline should not be read as a measured speed for either factory setup. Use the tire size actually fitted when comparing calculator results.

The durability work goes into pin retention and bracing
V2's front CVD joints use aluminum retaining collars and longer drive pins, replacing the earlier spring-based retention system. That targets a specific mechanical job: keeping the pin in place while the joint transmits power through steering and suspension movement. Corally presents it as a response to pin-retention complaints. That explains the design change, while long-term failure rates still need running experience with this revision.
The center of the chassis also gains the reinforced brace arrangement used on the Kagama 4 and Punisher 4, together with a revised center differential plate for the 46T gear. It adds support through the middle of the car while retaining the 3 mm aluminum chassis format. For an earlier car, treating this as an assembly change makes more sense than ordering a brace alone: check the plate, brace mounts and fasteners together.

The new body makes battery fit more practical
The taller, wider shell and new locating slots in the side guards are useful changes if you swap packs often. The guards locate the body's lower edges, while the extra room above the chassis is intended to clear taller hardcase packs. Corally also adds serrated black aluminum wheel nuts and a tool set for basic adjustments and servicing. These are practical additions alongside the new colors.
Check battery height against the complete car before buying a pack. The original showroom gives a 161 x 51 x 38 mm space. V2's body description says approximately 50 mm of height is available, but its product specification table still prints 38 mm. The wider shell offers more clearance, while the usable space also needs to accommodate straps, plugs and wire exits. Both RTRs require a separate driving battery and charger.

What does the extra US$50 buy?
On 15 October 2026, Corally US listed the green C-00287 RTR at US$339.99 on sale and the green/blue C-00295 V2 at US$389.99. That is US$50 more, or about 15%, for the newer car in the same store. These are dated U.S. selling prices, with the original discounted; they do not establish a launch-MSRP increase. Other markets and later offers need their own comparison.
That premium buys the revised CVD retention, reinforced center bracing, softer tires, new body and side guards, larger fitted pinion and included tools. The motor and ESC stay familiar. For a first purchase, getting those changes together is convenient. For a V1 owner, the sensible cost comparison is the particular repair or improvement you want, including supporting hardware, against replacing the whole buggy.

What the early owner discussion adds
In the October 2026 RC Talk launch discussion, V1 owner Rocketzx1 described the earlier buggy as solid and reported continued use of its composite shocks without problems in their driving. They also made clear that large jumps were outside that use. It is a useful counterpoint to replacing the dampers simply because the bodies are composite: service and adjust a working set before deciding a complete replacement is necessary.
The same owner planned to update their V1 with newer parts. The thread does not document a completed conversion or a V2 durability test. It supports keeping a healthy earlier car in service and investigating targeted changes, with the exact installation still to be checked. New-model enthusiasm and a proposed shopping list are useful discussion, but neither tells you how a stock V2 will hold up over months of use.

The part references worth checking before a repair
The manuals identify the original fitted pinion as C-72813 and V2's as C-72815, with C-00180-1261 remaining the 46T spur. The V2 front drawing identifies C-00180-360-T for its CVD, so retain that suffix when comparing it with the earlier C-00180-360 reference. Its chassis drawing also identifies the C-00180-1311 brace set and C-00181-0261 center differential plate. Those references help distinguish a routine replacement from the hardware needed around a revision change.
A shared option has a narrower meaning. For example, C-00180-365 is a rear CVD option in both sets of listings; its presence does not identify the V2's fitted front joint. The 13T and 17T pinions listed for both versions offer gearing choices around the V2's fitted 15T. Use the exact manual drawing for the installed assembly, and check the surrounding mounts and fasteners when adapting an earlier car.

Which edition makes sense for you?
For a new buyer choosing between these two RTRs, V2 puts useful changes into one package. At the dated US$50 difference, the strongest reasons to choose it are the revised CVD retention, center bracing, softer tires and more accommodating body. The larger pinion also changes the stock speed potential, with the usual temperature and terrain tradeoffs.
For a V1 owner whose buggy already drives well, start with the specific need: a damaged joint, battery clearance, tire grip or a different gearing choice. A targeted repair can preserve a car you know and enjoy. A full V2-style conversion needs a complete parts and mounting check, and the available owner discussion has not yet established that conversion or its long-term results.
