Background
The 12428-B belongs to WLtoys' electrically powered ready-to-run range. Its defining equipment includes a black-and-blue body and a 540 brushed motor. The 1/12 designation describes its marketed size, while the assembled dimensions are the better reference when checking storage space, a replacement body or room to drive. Its four-wheel-drive layout suits off-road use. The supplied power system is brushed, and the assembled package keeps the radio and vehicle together. A model-specific replacement list is useful when restoring an older example because body panels, steering parts and electronics can differ between numbered versions. Compare the fitted component and its connector before ordering a replacement. Equipment and configuration (opens in a new tab)

How to read these figures
- Stock is as the vehicle ships.
- Calculated is worked from the stock figures on this page rather than stored beside them, so the two cannot drift apart.
- Single report uses one outside source. It is useful as a starting figure, with the source and calculation described in the note.
- Not published means it exists but no source we could find prints it.
Build and setup
Factory setup guide for this configuration.
Service the 12428-B's front independent suspension and rear axle as different assemblies. The manual separates the front differential's output cups from the rear axle shafts and bearings. Keep those groups organized during a rebuild, preserving the shims and bearing locations shown for each end.[1] 12428-B factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
The center and rear driveline drawings show small joint pins, cup springs and retaining screws. Check those pieces when investigating clicking or intermittent drive, and turn the suspension through its travel after reassembly. The front and rear shocks also have different bodies and shafts, so measure a proposed replacement at the correct end.[1] 12428-B factory setup manual (opens in a new tab)
