Installation notes

  • Choose one matched gear set: 9776R provides 40.3:1 crawl reduction; 9776X provides 9.7:1 speed reduction. Install them as alternatives.
  • Retain the compatible single-speed housing and fit the specified pinion. These figures describe gearbox reduction, not the vehicle final-drive ratio.
  • Crawl gearing reduces wheel speed for a given motor speed; speed gearing reduces available reduction and increases the load for a given obstacle. Inspect motor temperature after a gearing change.
  • These gear sets do not add a second selectable range or a shift servo.
