Reedy SC400 startup calibration: calibration
CR12 Ford F-150 Pick-Up RTR (40001), exact documented installation and manual edition; confirm any fitted-component condition listed before starting.
Before starting
- Confirm the fitted ESC is the SC400. Recalibrate after replacing the ESC or transmitter or changing neutral, ATV or EPA. Startup also checks its calibration.
- Select the correct battery-mode jumper for LiPo or NiMH. With no jumpers fitted, this edition defaults to LiPo and Normal run mode.
Calibration sequence
- Set throttle and brake EPA/ATV and D/R to 100%, and center throttle trim.
- Keep the trigger at neutral. Turn on the transmitter, then the ESC.
- Wait three seconds for the self-test and automatic throttle calibration.
- A long beep confirms completion and readiness.
Final checks
- Check startup tones against the pack: one short beep is NiMH/NiCd mode, two short beeps is 2S LiPo, and three short beeps is 3S LiPo.
- At neutral the red LED is off. It blinks at partial throttle, brake or reverse and is solid at full throttle, brake or reverse.
- Switch the ESC off before switching off the transmitter.
