This changes both motor gears to 48-pitch and replaces the slipper action with a lockout adapter. The supplied gearing gives about 11% more reduction than the Fusion's stock pair, with lower wheel speed at the same motor RPM.

RER33015 is a listed Fusion gearing option. Change both gears together; the lockout removes the slipper's load-limiting action.

Installation notes

  • The kit includes an aluminum spur adapter, 87T 48P spur, 14T 48P pinion and three 3x6mm screws.
  • Change the spur and pinion together. The lockout removes the slipper's load-limiting action.
  • The 87/14 primary reduction is 6.2143:1 versus stock 56/10 = 5.6:1. That is 10.97% more reduction and 9.89% less wheel RPM, before tire effects.
  • Keep the existing motor, controller and battery ratings; this gear kit does not increase voltage capability.
