6000Kv brushless motor and separate radio

Losi Mini-T 2.0 2WD · LOS01015

For an original brushed LOS01015, the integrated motor/ESC frees the old receiver location for a separate receiver. Use this package when brushless power is the goal; the extra radio cost and setup matter on a small car.

Upgrade notes

  • Requires SPMSLT350: SLT3 transmitter with SLR300 receiver.
  • One matched transmitter/receiver package is required; its receiver replaces the removed combined brushed unit. Also provide four AA cells, receiver/switch mounting tape and wire restraint.

Manufacturer parts and instructions support this configuration. No measured performance result is established.

Installation notes

  • Remove the DYNS1218 motor and HRZ00002 combined brushed ESC/receiver. The selected SPMSLT350 package supplies both SLT3 transmitter and SLR300 receiver, replacing the original HRZ00001 radio without assuming protocol compatibility.
  • Retain the serviceable stock 2S EC2 battery and its appropriate 2S charger, servo, servo saver, chassis, transmission, 60T 0.5 MOD spur, slipper and gear cover. Initial pinion: 15T LOS312006 (0.5 MOD, 2mm bore). This is a starting setup, not a temperature guarantee.
  • Mount the motor on the original plate with retained mounting screws only if engagement into the motor is no more than 3 mm. Set backlash with paper, check several spur positions, and verify free rotation before refitting the cover. No chassis cutting is specified for the maker-listed drop-in motor.
  • Secure receiver and switch with double-sided foam tape; restrain excess leads. Connect servo to CH1 and motor/ESC lead to CH2 with correct polarity. The 6V/1A BEC supplies the receiver and servo. Retain EC2 wiring; IC2 batteries require the separately identified SPMXCA321 adapter and are outside this route.
  • Supply four AA cells for the SLT3. Bind its SLR300 and set zero-throttle failsafe. Calibrate ESC neutral, full throttle and full brake at 100% transmitter travel and neutral trim before using a throttle limit. Check steering endpoints and forward direction with wheels raised.
  • Use 2S only. This motor has fixed counter-clockwise forward rotation. The maker specifies monitoring at the end-bell center and lowering gearing if it exceeds 160 F (71 C) after a five-minute run; gearing and surface remain conditional.
  • Brushless editions LOS01024, LOS01019 and LOS-1056 already have brushless equipment; this is not an added brushless feature there. LOS01025 is a roller completion task, not this RTR conversion. The reviewed EC2 motor edition is distinct from IC2 SPMXSEM0503.
  • Retain one serviceable original 15T LOS312006 pinion. Buy one matching replacement only if it is missing or worn; it is not included with the motor/ESC. The Firma instructions use the vehicle-kit pinion as the initial reference, then require temperature checks.

  • SPMXSEM0501 is 2S/6000KV with counter-clockwise rotation,6V1A BEC and 3 mm maximum screw engagement. Its gearing check limit is 160F/71C after five minutes.

  • SPMSLT350 supplies matched SLT3/SLR300 units. Four AA cells are separate; its SLT receiver is not DSMR-compatible.

  • Original Mini-T2.0 uses DYNS1218, HRZ00002 and EC2. Its selected motor pinion is separate from later factory-brushless equipment.
