This changes both axle gear pairs from 43/13 to 42/12, adding slightly more reduction. It trades some wheel speed at a given motor or engine speed for more reduction through the axles, with the front and rear changed together.

Installation notes

  • Change both front and rear final-drive pairs together: two IFW618 ring gears and two IFW619 pinions supply the matched 42/12 arrangement.
  • Retain the serviceable differential cases, internals, cups and specified bearings. Check mesh and reuse or adjust the 96772 shims as instructed.
  • Keep the center differential unchanged. Do not mix 43T/13T and 42T/12T axle components or run different ratios at the front and rear.
  • This changes the TKI3 from its 43/13 axle gearing. The earlier TKI2 already uses 42/12.
