Installation notes
- Scope is the short 260 mm FZ02 chassis kit represented by catalog identity 34461 and maker product 34461C. Body shape can prevent installation; do not transfer this route to Mad Van, FZ02L-BT or a stock FZ02-R rally chassis.
- Buy one FAW230 set. It supplies four shocks, front/rear shock stays, matching rear arms, body-mount parts, springs, collars and the conversion-specific fasteners. Do not buy its service pieces again.
- Choose one tire route: one four-tire JK3201SS or JK3202SS pack, each with inserts. Retain serviceable VZH003BK kit wheels, which the conversion sheet also lists, or choose two two-wheel VZH003GB packs. Tires and wheels are excluded from FAW230.
- Separately supply shock oil in the factory #300-#450 range. The oil viscosity is a setup choice; the instructions do not supply the fluid or establish one ideal value.
- Build two short front shocks and two long rear shocks using their different shafts, ball ends and springs. Fill and bleed them before fitting the spring seats, as shown on page 2.
- Retain the chassis, drivetrain, steering, hubs, shafts/pins, brake-disk wheel adapters and the screws marked for reuse. Page 4 specifically retires the original 3 x 3 mm front-bulkhead screw; the new tower is secured with its specified fasteners.
- Fit the front tower/shocks first, replace the rear arms while retaining their hubs and set screws, then fit the rear tower, collars and body posts. Adjust rear body-post height for the chosen body before mounting the tires.
- Retain the correct original wheel screws for the chosen wheel adapters: the drawing distinguishes M4 x 16 mm and M4 x 22 mm. Body, wheel-offset and full-travel tire clearance must be checked on the assembled chassis.
- The base chassis kit still needs its own compatible motor, ESC, radio, servo, battery and body. A rally suspension set is not a complete powered car and does not establish another battery rating.
- JK3201SS and JK3202SS are made by JETKO: the Japanese Kyosho descriptions explicitly name JETKO as maker. Keep Kyosho as publisher/distributor and JETKO as the aftermarket part manufacturer. One four-tire pack includes inserts; 24-26 mm wheels are supported.
