Installation notes

  • One 161150 set supplies four assembled shocks, four 161133 upper balls and the specified M2 screw lengths. Reuse serviceable mounting hardware only where shown.
  • With the original towers, use the M2x12 upper screws and M2x16 lower screws shown on sheet pages 1 and 2.
  • Optional 161149 aluminum towers are a separate branch: replace four 161132 4.5x6mm upper balls with included 161133 4.5x9.5mm balls, and use M2x14 upper screws with M2x16 lower screws.
  • Remove wheels/hubs using the specified M2.5 nuts, assemble as drawn, then check full suspension motion. The evidence does not establish a spring rate, oil viscosity or measured performance improvement.
  • The component maker also lists other Venture18 editions, but this full recipe is limited to the pictured Hilux geometry.
