Stealth X motor-mount orientation conversion

Element RC Enduro Trailrunner · 40106

This changes the orientation of the existing transmission and motor mount while retaining the Stealth X architecture. It offers a different packaging choice without buying a whole gearbox, but requires opening the transmission and following the mirrored gear layout.

Installation notes

  • This is the factory Stealth X configuration option, not a Stealth XF conversion. Use the exact front-facing diagram and 42024 inverse top shaft; retaining the original rear-facing top shaft is not the documented option.
  • Retain serviceable case, motor plate, motor/pinion/spur, bearings, idler shaft and gears. The 20T top shaft,28T idler and 52T front drive gear remain paired as shown; mirror the rear output gearing with the case orientation.
  • Keep the existing stock overdrive choice for this recipe. Do not claim that rotating the transmission automatically creates more overdrive or a higher top speed.
  • Confirm drive direction, gear mesh, shaft engagement, motor leads and chassis/body clearance after reassembly. No shorter shaft, moved battery tray or independent fit-test result is invented.
