Installation notes

  • Use this housing kit only with compatible AR220029, AR220041 or AR220028 assemblies. It reuses the correct gears and outputs rather than supplying a complete differential.
  • One kit contains the aluminum body, steel face plate, two gaskets, four gear shims and eight M3x8 button-head screws. Order one kit for each housing being rebuilt.
  • Retain compatible internals and bearings, refill with suitable differential oil, and set the gear clearance during assembly. Check that the completed differential turns freely before installation.
  • Do not copy a universal shim count or remove gaskets to force a binding assembly together. Inspect the actual gear and housing combination.
  • This is the earlier housing family, not the 29mm ARA311061 kit. A metal case does not by itself change differential action or the electrical system rating.
