Spektrum SLT 80A DSC: binding and calibration: calibration

Arrma Granite 223S BLX DSC, model ARA4302V4, with the original controller and radio configuration covered by this manual edition.

Before starting

• This is the combined binding and calibration procedure for the original SLT 80A DSC ESC/receiver and its transmitter. It also learns steering endpoints; do not substitute the SET-button procedure used by a BLX100.
• Keep the wheels clear of the ground throughout binding and calibration.

Calibration sequence

1. Start with the ESC and transmitter off. Connect a fully charged compatible battery to the ESC.
2. Hold the ESC/receiver Bind button and press the power button. Release Bind when the red LED flashes.
3. Switch on the transmitter. Wait for the ESC LED to become blue.
4. Apply full throttle. Confirm one blue ESC LED flash.
5. Apply full brake. Confirm one blue ESC LED flash.
6. Turn the steering fully right. Confirm one blue ESC LED flash.
7. Turn the steering fully left. Confirm one blue ESC LED flash; the wheels turn left.
8. Return the transmitter controls to neutral, switch off the ESC, then switch off the transmitter.

Final checks

• The source sequence includes binding, throttle and steering calibration. Read the linked diagrams if the controls or indicator sequence differ.
